Now in its second incarnation, Pitch Battle is a format I developed with senior producer Stephen Hughes for BBC Radio 4’s The Film Programme.
Series One – 2018
In a year when we’ve saw yet more bio-pics about Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill and Queen Victoria, The Film Programme decided to do something about and find some less well-trodden subjects also suitable for the movie treatment. We put out a call to historians and history buffs for some serious alternatives.
Series Two – 2019/20
A second series asks writers, broadcasters and movie enthusiasts to suggest films that deserve to be remade – and what twist a reprise might bring.
